Junkers were commemorated at Defence Ministry

The Junkers fallen for Georgian territorial integrity in 1921 were commemorated at Defence Ministry today. Chief of General Staff of GAF, Major-General Vakhtang Kapanadze and Deputy Defence Minister Vako Avaliani laid a wreath at the stella located at Defence Ministry. 

Main Chaplain of the Georgian Armed Forces, Archpriest Davit held a special religious service in memory of the fallen Junkers at the stella. The cross is erected near the northern wall of the temple. The names of the armed forces officers of independent Georgia and 6 Junkers executed by the Red Army at the Northern Wall on 25 February of 1921 are carved on the stella. 

Following the religious service, Main Chaplain of the GAF blessed the Junkers of National Defence Academy.
