Today, the movie “Tangerines” directed by Zaza Urushadze was screened at National Defence Academy. The screening of the film was initiated by the "Union of Friends of the Army” based on the Memorandum signed between the Ministry of Defence and Georgian National Film Center. NDA Junkers, as well as the listeners of Junior Officers and Captain Career Courses attended the screening. The film caused quite a stir amongst the military servicemen.
The film is set during the Abkhazian War and depicts the relationship between the wounded Georgian and Chechen soldier, who are staying at one of the Estonian citizens house in Abkhazia.
To increase the education level among military servicemen is one of the priorities of the Ministry of Defence. As a result, the similar cultural-educational events are regularly held for the soldiers.
