Today was the conclusion of the three day training “Integrating a Gender Perspective and the Women, Peace and Security Agenda into the Security Sector”.
Military and civilian personnel of the military sector were participating in the training organized by the cooperation between the Ministry of Defence of Georgia, National Defence Academy, NATO Liaison Office in Georgia and UN Women’s International Center.
In the framework, of the three day training participants familiarized themselves with the UN Security Council Resolution 1325: Women, Peace and Security and the issues related to the integration of gender equality principles into the security sector.
Deputy Minister of Defence Tamar Karosanidze, NDA Rector Zurab Agladze, the Deputy Head of NATO Liaison Office in Georgia Kristina Baleisyte, Director of the Non-governmental Women’s Information Center Elene Rusetski and the UN Woman Programme Manager Tamar Tavartkiladze handed over the certificates to the participants.
