Today, at the National Defence Academy was held the American director, Mr. Jason Dasilva’s documentary film “When I Walk” screening.
Bachelor School first and second year Junkers attended the screening.
At the age of 25 Mr. Dasilva was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis disease. The director decided to make a movie about his disease and his life after the diagnosis as a way of coping with it. It took him seven years to finish the documentary.
“When I Walk” was an official selection of the 2013 Sundance Film Festival and won Best Canadian Feature.
After the screening Mr. Dasilva told the interesting stories regarding the movie to the Junkers and answered to their questions. He also discussed the application “AXSMap” that provides the information for the disabled people regarding the different establishments that have wheelchair access.
