Awarding of Winners of Contest Modern Heroes

Ministries of Defence and Education and Science held video clips contest “Modern Heroes” for the school children aimed to popularize the Georgian Army and increase patriotic spirit within juveniles. The awarding ceremony of the winners gained victory in the contest took place at Davit Agmashenebeli National Defence Academy. 

Deputy Chief of General Staff of the GAF, Colonel Roman Jokhadze, Deputy Minister of Education and Science Lia Gigauri and Acting as Rector of National Defence Academy, Colonel Malkhaz Makaradze awarded the winners with General Giorgi Mazniashvili Books “Memories 1917-1925”, diplomas and gift cards of computer technique and accessories.

Video clips were also shown at the event. August War 2008 was the main topic of all video clips. Children clearly depicted their attitude towards August war heroes, sacrifice and bravery of the modern heroes in three-minute long video clips.
The pupils of Gori No11 Public School, Tbilisi King Tamar School and Village Aketi Public School gained the victory in the contest.

At the end of the event, the guests viewed the infrastructure of the National Defence Academy.
