NDA Students at the General Shalikashvili Museum

Students of theNationalDefenceAcademyvisited the Jon Malkhaz Shalikashvili Museum of Georgian Army History located in Gurjaani. NDA students got acquainted with the life of General Shalikashvili, his military career and the family history. They also viewed the exhibited personal things, military decorations and gifts awarded by the leaders of various states.

Students were also able to see the personal archive of the General Kvinitadze exhibited in the museum.

The museum was established with the initiative of Jon Malkhaz Khalikashvili in the family house of the Shalikashvilis in Gurjaani, in 1999.

The cultural-educational events for the students of military educational institutions are organized by the Defence Ministry of Georgia systematically and aim to give additional interesting information to the students along with relaxation.
