The objective of the Master’s Degree Program in Defense Analysis is to prepare highly qualified military and civilian professionals with in-depth knowledge and professional skills who, in an evolving security environment, will:

possess in-depth and systematic knowledge of defense concepts and theories;

contribute to the development and refinement of military policy and defense strategy and support their effective implementation;

be capable of participating in the preparation, planning, and execution of military operations and campaigns;

be capable of serving in leadership positions across a broad range of areas within the defense sector at both national and international levels.

Taking into account international standards in the field, the program is strongly practice-oriented and focused on career development. It is designed to provide learners with the knowledge and skills required to respond effectively to the challenges of the contemporary security environment and to contribute to the prerequisites for societal development.

 

The Master’s Degree Program in Defense Analysis comprises 120 ECTS credits, including:

Part I – 60 ECTS credits

Part II – 60 ECTS credits

A graduate of Part I of the Master’s Degree Program in Defense Analysis is awarded the academic degree of Master of Defense Analysis upon completion of 60 ECTS credits, distributed as follows:

40 credits – mandatory courses in the main field of study;

20 credits – elective courses in the main field of study (the total number of credits of the elective courses offered is 40).

A graduate of Part II of the Master’s Degree Program in Defense Analysis is awarded the academic degree of Master of Research in Defense Analysis upon completion of 60 ECTS credits, distributed as follows:

20 credits – mandatory courses in the main field of study;

10 credits – elective courses in the main field of study (the total number of credits of the elective courses offered is 20);

30 credits – Master’s thesis (the research component provided for in the educational program).
