International Relations and Diplomacy

Overview

Goal of the Master of International Relations and Diplomacy Educational Program:

The Master of International Relations and Diplomacy Educational Program aims to prepare both military and civilian personnel. Graduates will acquire theoretical knowledge of international relations combined with practical, empirical experience in the field. This training will enable them to analyze regional and global political processes from various perspectives within a modern, evolving, and unpredictable security environment.

The program focuses on developing the skills necessary to formulate rational and optimal policies that serve national interests in a dynamic international context, utilizing diplomatic strategies and situational analysis.

A graduate of the Master of International Relations and Diplomacy Educational Program of the National Defense Academy is awarded the academic degree of Master of International Relations upon accumulation of 123 credits, which are distributed as follows:

- 93 credits for major mandatory courses, which includes 30 credits dedicated to a Master's thesis (a research component required by the program).

- 30 credits for elective courses within the main field of study (the total number of credits of elective courses offered is 91).
