11 cadets of the US Naval and Air Force Academies have got familiar with Georgian military educational system. In the scope of the visit, the foreign guests took a tour of the Davit Agmashenebeli National Defence Academy complex and met with Georgian students.

Today, 19 representatives of Royal College of Defence Studies of Great Britain paid a visit to David Aghmashenebeli National Defence Academy of Georgia. The British delegation members held a meeting with the Rector of the Defence Academy and representatives of the Georgian Defence Ministry. Ongoing defence reforms and Georgia`s contribution to the NATO-led ISAF operation were discussed at the meeting. After the meeting the British visitors have taken a tour around the Defence Academy.

The world is celebrating the 67th anniversary of triumph over Fascism. Today, a meeting was held with the II World War veterans in the Aleksandre Griboedovi State Theater. The representatives of Veterans Affairs Department of Defence Ministry, the war veterans and their family members, National Defence Academy officers and invited guests attended the meeting. The World War events and the its heroes were recalled at the meeting.

Lieutenant General Arvydas Pocius Chief of Defence of the Republic of Lithuania is paying an official visit to Georgia. Lithuanian high ranking military official was received today by the Chief of Joint Staff of GAF General-Major Devi Chankotadze. During the meeting he briefed his foreign colleague on the security environment of the region and reforms being implemented in a defence field. The sides discussed the future plans of bilateral cooperation, Georgia’s participation in the ISAF operation and NATO integration.

Students of  the National Defence Academy and the Cadets’ Military Lyceum visited the Kote Marjanishvili State Drama Theatre. They attended the two-act performance directed by Dimitri Khvtisia shvili - “Letters of a Traveler”. A patriotic performance unites the poetry, publications and the famous story of Ilia Chavchavadze “Letters of a Traveler”.
