On April 25-28 of this year, tripartite meetings of rectors of Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey military academies were held, hosted by Heydar Aliyev Military Institute of Azerbaijan in Baku. In the period from April 14 to April 24, 2023, third-year Junkers of the National Defence Academy, Shota Simonishvili and Zurab Gogiashvili, were in the West Point Military Academy in the United States of America to participate in the "Foreign Academy Exchange Program".

The seventh international cadet week was held at the National Defence Academy, which was opened by the Rector of the Academy, Brigadier General Mamia Balakhadze, with a welcome speech.
